Free Family Support

If your child is deaf, we want to support you. That’s why all our support and training for families with deaf children in the UK is FREE of charge.

Our Regional Choice Advisers understand the needs of families with deaf children. They work with you to provide invaluable advice and support and basic training in Cued Speech where the family are interested to learn.

Cued Speech Membership

Families need to become members to access our training resources. This only costs £10 and can be paid here:

Services

Home Visits

If you choose to give cueing a try, then our Regional Choice Advisers may come to your home (or a venue of your choice).

They will talk through your options and signpost you to relevant organisations. Or, if you choose Cued Speech as one of your choices, they will give you lots of ideas and tips on how to use it with your child and will always try to answer any questions you have and support and encourage you on your cueing journey.

Introductory Talks to Groups

We can come to your parent support group, nursery, school or any kind of gathering, to offer you an overview of what Cued Speech is and other options that may be of interest to you. Providing information on how to access these.

These talks are usually delivered by a parent who has personal experience of cueing and understands the challenges and the joys of raising a deaf child. These talks always aim to be relaxed and friendly and offer you a place to share some of your own story if you wish and get your questions answered.

Online Cue Tutors

We have a team of experienced and friendly tutors who can work with you at a time that suits you for six up to sessions to help you develop your cueing skills.

You may use a computer, lap-top, tablet or phone to chat with them and learn in a way and at a pace that suits you.

Cued Speech Self-Study Foundation

This course is available free of charge for families and allows you to learn the basics of Cued Speech in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you!

Post Foundation Pre-Level One and Two Courses for families:

Five one-to-one lessons with an on-line tutor. There is also the opportunity to receive formal qualifications by paying for Level 1 and 2 exams. This is the only specialist support families have to pay for and can be bought here on our website:
